.... one year without painting ??!!!
life is cruel, in my opinion.
I hope that you will find some new paints and come back in the Hobby !

You can't keep a good giraffe down (or an evil one in this case). Hopeful that you'll shortly resume painting/posting.

Worst mistake I ever made was leaving my painting off for a year in the process of which I quit smoking. When I came back I actually didn't know how to paint without a fag hanging out of the corner of my mouth. Had to teach myself again from scratch.

Hang in there bro! Remember you can technically get by with about six paints; colour trios etc are a luxury we enjoy but don't strictly "need". Or there are some nice full paint sets you can get, my buddy Spacejacker over at Tiny Solitary Soldiers recently re-tooled with the Army Painter mega paint set and he seems to like it.

Looking forward to new posts from you :)

Crikey - some of my paints are ten years old and smell a bit funky! That might explain some issues I've been having with my paint jobs :o

@ Jet Simian: I still have usable paints from my Space Marine paint set, bought in 1992, so it seems these things vary. Acrylic paints should not experience biological spoilage, so I don't know about any funky smells.

I still use some of my "Citadel Paint Set" from '88! My Humbrol enamels from that era have turned to powder though...
